THE GOSPEL OF THE WIND
The wind is an invisible preacher. No eye has ever seen its form, yet every swaying tree, every bending field, and every rolling wave bears witness to its power.
So it is with the work of God.
His hand is often hidden, but His presence is unmistakable. “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it…so is everyone who is born of the Spirit” (John 3:8).
Faith does not demand to see the wind. It is enough to behold what the wind accomplishes.
There are seasons when the breeze is gentle, carrying comfort to the weary soul. There are other times when it comes as a mighty gale, stripping away those things in which we have trusted too much.
But whether the wind whispers through the leaves or shakes the tallest cedar, it is still under the command of the Lord. Not one breath moves without His permission. He who calmed the storm upon Galilee still governs every gust that sweeps across the path of His children (Mark 4:39).
Therefore, do not fear the winds that God appoints. They are not sent merely to disturb your peace, but to loosen your grip upon the world and teach you to cling more firmly to Christ.
The strongest oaks are not those sheltered from every breeze, but those that have learned to stand through many storms.
When the winds have finished their holy work, your roots will have reached more deeply into the grace of God, and your life will bear richer fruit for His glory (Jeremiah 17:7-8).
