#279 THE GREATNESS OF CHRIST 10-12-26

There has never been anyone like Jesus Christ. Kings have occupied thrones, generals have commanded armies, philosophers have shaped civilizations, and scientists have unlocked mysteries of the natural world. Yet no human achievement compares with the greatness of the Son of God. His glory existed before the foundation of the world, His power brought creation into existence, and His love carried Him to the cross.

John declares that all things were made through Christ and that without Him nothing was made that was made (John 1:3). The hands that touched sick people were the hands of the Creator. The voice that called Lazarus from the tomb possessed authority over death itself. The Savior who washed His disciples' feet was the Lord of heaven and earth.

Paul describes Christ as the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily (Colossians 2:9). His greatness is not merely a matter of power or position. It is revealed in His holiness, compassion, wisdom, and sacrificial love.

The cross stands as the supreme demonstration of His greatness. He who deserved every honor willingly endured shame to redeem sinners. He died, was buried, and rose again, conquering the grave and securing the hope of eternal life.

The world may celebrate its heroes today and forget them tomorrow, but Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Our greatest privilege is to know Him, our highest calling is to serve Him, and our eternal hope is to dwell with Him.
