#257 SALVATION SAYS IT ALL 10-9-26

The greatest message ever told can be summed up in one word: salvation. It is the story of God's love for sinners, Christ's sacrifice for the guilty, and the hope of eternal life for everyone who comes to Him in faith.

Sin says we are lost, but salvation says we can be found. Our past may be filled with failures, regrets, and wasted opportunities, but God's grace offers us a new beginning. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10). Jesus did not come to congratulate the righteous. He came to call sinners to repentance and provide the way home.

The cross says it all. Our sin was serious enough to require the death of God's Son, yet God's love was great enough to provide that sacrifice. Jesus “Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree” (1 Peter 2:24). His blood speaks of forgiveness, His resurrection declares victory, and His gospel announces that reconciliation with God is possible.

Salvation is not a trophy we earn through human achievement. It is God's gift of grace, received through faith, as we respond to His word in obedient trust. We are saved by grace through faith, created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:8-10). We do not obey to make ourselves worthy of God's love. We obey because His love has opened the way for us to become His people.

The world offers many answers, but only Jesus can reconcile us to the Father. Yesterday's guilt need not define us, today's struggles need not defeat us, and tomorrow's uncertainties need not destroy our hope.

Salvation says it all because Jesus gave His all. The question is not whether God has made salvation available, but whether we will respond to His gracious invitation. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).

_______________

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Help us appreciate the cost of our redemption, respond faithfully to Your gospel, and live each day in gratitude for Your grace. May our lives point others to the Savior who died and rose again for us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
