TRUST GOD

Trust is easy to talk about when everything is going well. It is much harder when the road becomes uncertain, the answers do not come, and we cannot see what God is doing.

Faith begins where our ability to understand ends. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).

We often want God to show us the whole path before we take the first step. But God rarely works that way. He gives us enough light for today and asks us to trust Him for tomorrow. Abraham went out without knowing where he was going because he trusted the One who was leading him (Hebrews 11:8).

Trust does not mean that we will never be afraid. It means that our fear does not have the final word. David could say, “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You” (Psalm 56:3). Notice that he did not say, “I will never be afraid.” He said that when fear came, he would place his confidence in God.

There will be days when you cannot understand the circumstances, but you can still trust the character of God. He is faithful when we are confused. He is good when life is difficult. He is present when we feel alone. What God has promised, He is able to accomplish (Romans 4:21).

So today, surrender the things you cannot control. Stop trying to carry tomorrow before it arrives. Put your life, your family, your future, and your fears into the hands of the One who knows the end from the beginning. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can know who holds tomorrow.

PRAYER

Lord, teach me to trust You when I cannot understand. Help me to walk by faith, rest in Your promises, and believe that You are working even when I cannot see what You are doing. Amen.
