THE ORDER OF THE COSMOS AND THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST
The elegance of natural laws—the way planets move with predictable rhythm, the way gravity binds galaxies, the way mathematics describes creation with astonishing precision—declares a universe not ruled by chance but upheld by Christ Himself.
The Bible says, “In Him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17).
Not some things.
All things.
The stars in their courses obey Him (Judges 5:20).
The heavens declare His glory (Psalm 19:1).
The very fabric of creation is stitched together by the Word who spoke it into being (John 1:3).
Mankind has marveled at the cosmos as a grand machine, but the word of God reveals the Engineer behind the machine. Christ is not merely the Redeemer of souls. He is the Ruler of stars, the Sustainer of galaxies, the Lord of all dominions and powers (Ephesians 1:21).
Every orbit, every constant, every physical law is a testimony to His sovereignty. “By Him all things were created—visible and invisible” (Colossians 1:16). The macrocosm bows to Him; the microcosm obeys Him.
And the same Christ who governs the galaxies also governs the trembling heart. “He upholds all things by the word of His power” (Hebrews 1:3).
The One who keeps the universe from collapsing keeps you from falling (Jude 24).
The order of creation mirrors the order Christ brings to the believer’s life: purpose replacing chaos (Jeremiah 29:11), peace replacing fear (John 14:27), truth replacing confusion (John 8:32).
The universe is stable because Christ is sovereign. And so is the soul that trusts Him.
Lift your eyes from the disorder of the world to the order of the cosmos, and remember: the same Christ who commands the stars commands your steps (Psalm 37:23).
The heavens preach His majesty; your life can preach His grace.
Trust Him, for “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
