Open your Bible daily because you need God’s Word every day. We would never expect our bodies to remain strong if we refused to eat, and our souls cannot remain strong if we neglect the Word of God.

Jesus said that we do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). The Bible gives us wisdom when we are confused, strength when we are weak, correction when we are wrong, and encouragement when we are discouraged.

Open your Bible daily even when you do not feel like it. Some days the words will leap from the page and speak directly to your heart. Other days you may read and feel as though nothing happened. Keep reading. God’s Word is still working.

The psalmist said that the blessed man delights in the law of the Lord and meditates on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). You may not always see immediate results, but every day in the Word is another day allowing God to shape your mind and heart.

Open your Bible daily because you never know what God may show you. One verse can change your perspective. One promise can strengthen your faith. One warning can keep you from a terrible decision. One truth can remind you that you are not alone.
