AWARE OF HIS NEARNESS

Hold to his hand. Whatever you do, hold to his hand. Don’t ever let go of your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Think about him. Keep your attention on him. Isaiah 26:3 tells us that if we keep our attention focused on him, then we will have peace in our minds and in our hearts. Everything has to do with what you think about.

He is always there. As close as the mention of his name. When you say Jesus be with me, he is with you. The question is, do you believe that? Do you give him credit for keeping his promises?

He has promised to never leave you. What do you think of that promise? What do you make of it? Do you believe it?

When you ask him to forgive you of your sins, of something you have done wrong, you are forgiven. Do you believe that? That’s what he has promised. It is up to you and to me to decide to believe the promises of God.

We must learn to think the right way about God. Because what we think about when we think about him—that determines the course of our lives. Nothing is more important than thinking correctly about God. The way that you think about him will affect every part of your life.

It will certainly affect how close you think you can be to him. And you should realize that you can be as close to God as you want to be. He desires a relationship with you. It was his idea.

The most important thing that we have to do each day is to spend time with God. You cannot be close to him without spending time. And when you set aside time to think about him and meditate upon him, then you realize his nearness is always available to you.

To live our lives conscious of his nearness. That should be our goal.
