#224 CHRIST OUR WISDOM 10-2-26
There is a difference between knowing many things and knowing what to do with what we know. The world can fill our minds with information, but only Christ can teach us how to live. Paul declared, “Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24). In Him we find not merely answers, but the wisdom to walk through life with God.
Jesus is the wisdom we need when our understanding is limited. We see only a small piece of the picture, but He sees the whole. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). Faith begins where our certainty ends. We do not have to understand everything when we know the One who does.
Christ teaches us that true wisdom is often found in humility, forgiveness, service, and obedience. “Whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant” (Matthew 20:26). The cross itself appeared foolish to the world, yet through that cross God revealed “the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:21).
James tells us that if anyone lacks wisdom, “let him ask of God” (James 1:5). What a promise. We can come to God with confused minds, uncertain futures, and difficult decisions, knowing that He gives wisdom generously.
Christ is not simply someone who possesses wisdom. He is our wisdom. When we walk with Him, listen to His words, and follow His ways, we learn to see life differently.
May we seek Christ before we seek answers, because in Him “are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Colossians 2:3).
