The Help of the Holy Spirit

We will never live the Christian life without divine help. We need the help of God for everything we do. Anyone who has tried to walk with God through the wilderness of temptation and adversaties of life knows that the assistance of God and His power is essential. We must remain close to Christ and have His power within us if we are going to be able to maintain a relationship with Him.

God has promised us the help that we need. He gives us the Holy Spirit to dwell in our lives and to be with us every moment. The Holy Spirit is here to strengthen us. To give us what we need to live for God. To glorify Jesus. These are all things that the Holy Spirit does in the life of the believer.

He comes into our lives to help us focus on Christ and stay close to Him. He helps us to obey Jesus as our Lord. He helps us to trust Jesus as our Savior. Everything that we need to do for God, the Holy Spirit helps us to do it.

Ephesians 3:16 says that we are strengthened with might by God’s spirit in the inner person. No matter who you are or what you are going through, God’s spirit is available to you. The help of God is available to you. When you receive Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit comes to live within you, and we should never lose sight of that fact. You have the help of the Holy Spirit to live for God. Always know that you are close to God, that He is there for you and that He gives you the strength that you need.
