SLIPPING AWAY
The older we get, the faster the days seem to slip away. One minute we’re starting out, and the next, the sun is setting on another season of life.
In the middle of life’s quick and quiet passage, there is an anchor that holds steady: Jesus loves us.
He didn't just speak that love; He proved it in the most radical way possible: by giving His life for us on the cross (John 15:13). That’s grace in its purest form. While His love reaches toward everyone, there is a distinct, sacred sweetness reserved for those who love Him back and draw near to His heart (Proverbs 8:17).
When we place our trust in the Lord, we stop trying to force our own path and begin walking in rhythm with a higher, divine will. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Life suddenly finds its true harmony.
And the best part? The story doesn't end when the sun goes down. Jesus promised He is coming back for us (John 14:3). So hold fast, trust Him today, and live with your eyes on the horizon. The best is yet to come.
