CAN YOU FIND OUT GOD?

“Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?” (Job 11:7, KJV). These words from Zophar remind us of one of the greatest truths about our relationship with God: we can know Him, but we can never fully comprehend Him.

Human beings have always searched for answers. We study the stars, explore the depths of the earth, seek to understand the mysteries of life. But the greatest mystery of all is God Himself. The Creator cannot be placed under a microscope by His creation. The finite mind cannot completely grasp the infinite God.

This does not mean God is unknowable. The Bible reveals that God has made Himself known through His creation, His Word, and ultimately through Jesus Christ. We can know His character, His love, His mercy, and His will for our lives. But there will always be depths of His wisdom that are beyond us.

The proper response is not frustration but humility. A God we could completely understand would be no greater than our own minds. Instead, we worship a God whose greatness exceeds our imagination.

We do not seek God because we think we can master Him. We seek Him because He has invited us to know Him. The more we discover of God, the more we realize how much more there is to discover.
