#321 THE WAY IT IS 19-23-26

The entire story of God’s love can be seen in three wonderful realities: the Christ who came to save us, the cross where He gave Himself for us, and the crown that awaits those who belong to Him. These are not separate stories but one glorious message of redemption, revealing the heart of God and the hope of humanity.

THE CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the center of God’s eternal purpose. He is more than a teacher, a prophet, or a moral example. He is the Son of God, the image of the invisible God, and the One through whom all things were created. John 1:14 declares that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. In Jesus, we see the character of God revealed in human life. His compassion welcomes the broken, His truth confronts our sin, and His love calls us into fellowship with the Father. Christianity is not ultimately about a religious system but about knowing and following Jesus Christ.

THE CROSS

At the cross, the love of God met the reality of human sin. Jesus did not come just to inspire us to become better people. He came to give His life as a ransom for many. Romans 5:8 says that God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The cross exposes the seriousness of our rebellion while revealing the astonishing depth of divine mercy. There, forgiveness was purchased, reconciliation was made possible, and the way home to God was opened. We must never become so familiar with the cross that we lose our wonder at what Christ accomplished there.

THE CROWN

The cross was not the end of the story. The crucified Christ was raised from the dead and exalted in glory. The crown says that Jesus reigns and that His people have a living hope beyond the grave. Revelation 2:10 calls the faithful to remain steadfast, promising the crown of life. Our present struggles are real, but the risen Lord holds our future, and His victory gives us courage to persevere.

The Christ reveals God's love, the cross demonstrates God's grace, and the crown declares God's victory. Let us trust the Savior, glory in His cross, and faithfully pursue the hope set before us.

________________

Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus Christ, who gave Himself on the cross and rose again in victory. Help us to live in the power of His love, remain faithful through every trial, and keep our eyes fixed on the crown of life You have promised. May Christ be glorified in everything we say and do. In Jesus' name, Amen.
