#318 THE LORD IS NEAR 10-22-26
It will test your patience. Life will. It will make you wonder how much further you can go and how much any person is capable of enduring. But one of the keys to life is endurance. One of the things that Christianity teaches is endurance. Faithfulness is in endurance. And James chapter 5 points this out.
James points us to the farmer who waits patiently for the precious fruit of the earth, trusting that the early and latter rain will come (James 5:7). The farmer cannot command the clouds or hurry the harvest. He must prepare the ground, sow the seed, and wait. So it is with our spiritual lives. We must do what God has called us to do while trusting Him with the results.
“Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord” (James 5:7). Our circumstances may change, our strength may diminish, our plans may fail, everything may seem like it’s crashing around us. But the Lord remains faithful. Patience is not passive resignation. It is active faith that continues to obey when the outcome remains unseen.
Today, are you waiting for an answer, enduring a trial, or praying for someone you love? Do not surrender your faith because the harvest has not yet appeared. Keep planting seeds of kindness, truth, and righteousness. The Lord sees your labor, knows your heart, and calls you to remain faithful.

Father, strengthen our hearts, deepen our patience, and help us trust Your wisdom while we wait. Amen.
