#270 JESUS CARES 10-11-26

One of the sweetest truths in all the Bible is that Jesus cares. The One who made the stars is concerned about our struggles. The One who holds the universe in His hands notices the tears that fall from our eyes. We may sometimes feel forgotten by the world, misunderstood by our friends, or overwhelmed by the burdens we carry, but we are never beyond the reach of His compassion.

When Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them (Matthew 9:36). He did not look upon people as interruptions to His schedule. He saw their suffering, recognized their needs, and responded with mercy.

Jesus cares about the things we consider small as well as the burdens that seem impossible to bear. Peter wrote, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Notice the invitation. We do not have to carry every worry alone. The Lord invites us to bring our anxieties, disappointments, fears, and uncertainties to Him.

At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus wept (John 11:35). He knew resurrection was coming, yet He entered into the sorrow of those He loved. His tears remind us that divine power does not mean divine indifference. Jesus cares about human suffering.

The cross provides the greatest evidence of His love. Christ did not merely tell us that God loves us. He demonstrated that love by giving Himself for our sins (Romans 5:8).

Perhaps today you feel weary, discouraged, or alone. Remember that your circumstances do not determine your worth, and your tears do not escape His notice.

Jesus cares. Let that truth steady your heart, strengthen your faith, and remind you that the Savior who died for you is worthy of your trust today.
