#116 OPEN THE DOOR OF YOUR HEART 9-10-26
Jesus stands at the door of your heart and knocks. He does not force His way in. He waits for you to open the door. He said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock” (Revelation 3:20). The Lord wants fellowship with you, but fellowship begins when we are willing to let Him in.
Sometimes we keep the door closed because we are afraid of what Jesus might ask us to surrender. We hold onto our worries, our bitterness, our plans, or our sins. But Jesus does not come to take life from us. He comes to give us life. He said, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10).
So open the door. Let Him into the places you have kept hidden. Let Him speak to your heart through God’s word. Let Him change what needs to be changed and heal what needs to be healed. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you” (James 4:8). The greatest guest you could ever welcome is already standing at your door.
