#103 OUR OWN RACE TO RUN 9–8-26
All of us have our own race to run. God has given each of us a path, a purpose, and a calling that is uniquely ours. We should not spend our lives measuring our journey by someone else’s. The important question is not how far someone else has gone, but whether we are faithfully following Jesus where He has called us to go. Our race is not about impressing people. It is about being faithful to God.
There will be days when the road is difficult, days when our strength is small, and days when we wonder how much farther we can go. But the Lord who called us to the race will give us grace to continue. Paul could look back over his life and say, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). That is the goal. Keep running. Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep your eyes on Jesus and your heart faithful to God.
Your race may be different from everyone else’s, but it is the race God has entrusted to you. Do not become discouraged because your journey does not look like someone else’s. Run your race with faithfulness, endure the difficult places, and keep moving toward the finish line. One day, when the race is over, what will matter is that you remained faithful to the One who called you. Run well, finish strong, and keep your eyes on Jesus.
